LifeACT Creativity Workshops
Are you trying to put together a more effective presentation? Are you a writer? A director or artist? Or are you a “deep thinker”? – You might want to consider referring us to an organization for sponsorship of a creativity workshop. Just like the acting classes, we customize the workshop duration and meeting times according to your needs. Coach’s fee is negotiable based on labor hours, research and travel. Give us a call at 877-539-9005 and we’ll discuss your needs.

"The work that LifeACT does is very insightful. As a performer it is amazing to develop roles and scenes so real you catch bits of your own reflection in what you are doing."

CC2002 - Coaching Skills for Directors

Coaching skills allows the director to enhance the actor’s self-esteem while inspiring an energetic performance. Skills included are: Tuning In, Asking Powerful Questions, Making Powerful Observations, Making Powerful Requests, and the Setting and Attainment of Compelling Goals. A “must experience” for every director and acting teacher.
CC2003 - Heroic Excursions: A Workshop for Writers and Actors
The aim of this workshop is to provide a writer with a fully fleshed-out story idea by the course’s conclusion. In this 10-session course, play and screenwriters have the opportunity to develop scenes, character arcs and plot lines of their own creation. Discussions include capturing the elements of an effective story through the “hero’s journey” model.
The writer will also have the benefit of exploring their choices through actor improvisation. The structured improvised exercises allow the writer to “freeze” and add elements to their scene at will. A wonderful brainstorming tool for both the novice and experienced writer.
CC2004 - The Life Artist Experience
An unstructured workshop for actors, writers and directors to give full reign to their creativity. “Life Artist Techniques” are applied to an improvisational and writing process to explore the artist’s inner world. These techniques could be a hybrid of Meisner, creative improvisation, meditation practices and group discussion. The intention of the course is to create a sense of artistic recovery for the artists while inspiring unlimited creativity. Originally, the Life Artist Experience was designed to create a “reality style” stage performance inspired by each artist’s real life. If a staged performance is desired it will be completely up to the discretion of the sponsoring group or organization.
CC2005 -An Introduction to Creativity Coaching: Role-Playing and Popular Story Telling
Are you interested in Creativity Coaching? In this workshop setting, artists have a chance to develop coaching skills that help motivate artistic expression and recovery. Oftentimes, these group workshops include a theme designated by the client. In the past, we’ve explored creativity and human themes through a spiritual/religious path, classic literature and/or many of popular culture’s stories.
Creativity Coaching allows the artist to communicate more passionately, set and attain goals and to experience a true sense of joy and accomplishment in their life.
Here are some suggestions of past group discussion topics discussed while exploring Creativity Coaching:
George Lucas’s “Star Wars” series;
J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” books and movie series;
Dan Brown’s “The DaVinci Code”;
James Redfield’s “The Celestine Prophecy”;
The Collected Works of Joseph Campbell;
Andy and Larry Wachowski’s “The Matrix” movie trilogy;
Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way”.
Please note – LifeACT Acting Classes or LifeACT Creativity Workshops can be offered through the LifeACT Studio. If you don’t have a sponsoring organization but have five or more people interested in a class or workshop, please let us know! We might run the class through LifeACT Studios!
