What can I expect when speaking to a LifeACT coach?
Sometimes the most difficult thing in the world to do is pick up the phone and speak to a stranger. In a world of telemarketing, fine print and hidden agendas, it makes it difficult simply to ask questions and gather information on a company or coach.
Our initial consultation is intended to give an accurate portrayal of the coaching relationship. There is no attachment to outcome, only addressing the issues you wish to explore. At the end of the conversation we’ll ask “Are you interested in signing up for a LifeACT program?” If the answer is “no”, we end the call as friends – no questions asked.
Why LifeACT?

LifeACT’s purpose is to emotionally support artists as they create the life they’ve dreamed of living.
"I would gladly share with others how grateful I am for what I have already
experienced through LifeACT and Mike's programs. It's truly great for those of us who have been longing for an interaction like this but who never knew how to find it. Thank you for giving us a chance to see the value of what you have to offer (and then in turn what WE have to offer) without the fear of financial hardship and conflicting schedules. It is great work LifeACT is doing!"

How do we do this?
Through life coaching, career coaching, creativity coaching, acting classes, philosophical discussion, creativity workshops, and, most importantly, a meaningful, individual connection with each client.
Our IMPROV program is also available to mental health professionals. The combination of acting techniques and coaching skills is already making a profound difference in the mental health industry.
"As an actor and acting teacher, I have a deep interest in today’s theater and entertainment industries. My hope is that each individual artist will find happiness, financial success, and creative freedom - preferably with the blessing of the industry, but even without it if the client chooses to follow their own path to the beat of their own drummer. To paraphrase Julia Cameron, author of The Artist’s Way, "I believe the power should lie in making the art.'" Mike Shoeman, President
“LifeACT is awesome to work with! They are caring people, as well as amazing artists. They take the craft of coaching and performance seriously and can have fun with it at the same time. LifeACT has excellent teachers, and I learned a lot from working with them.”
